Class A Research Master, his research works focus on ecotoxicology and biomonitoring of ecosystems.

Presentation

The problem of ecosystem pollution (soils, water and air) and the considerable accumulation of waste are very worrying today for Algeria in a context of global warming and the degradation of natural resources. Environmental biotechnology, in particular using living organisms has many advantages; a potentially lower cost than some physico-chemical depollution processes, public health protection, waste recovery, preservation of genetic and environmental heritage.

Research topics

  •  Restoration of ecosystems degraded by various human activities, in a sustainable development context.
  •  Development of effective and less expensive biological alternatives, based on pollution bioindicators and stress biomarkers in order to replace physico-chemical processes.
  •  Waste recovery for ecological and socio-economic purposes.
