Industrial biotechnologies or white biotechnologies are among the essential technologies for the economic development of tomorrow. The division's research focuses on the use of biological systems for manufacturing, the transformation or degradation of molecules using enzymatic or fermentation processes for industrial purposes. The Industrial Biotechnology division plays an important role and supports the other research divisions through process design and the exploitation of the results generated on the semi-pilot scale.

Research Topics

  •  Drug design and drug discovery using bioinformatics tools and artificial intelligence;
  •  Elaboration, identification, purification, characterization and high throughput screening of bioactive molecules;
  •  Development of biodegradable packaging based on biopolymers;
  •  Development and optimization of bioprocesses of interest at the laboratory scale and at the semi-pilot scale.
