Presentation :
The team focuses on the characterization, optimization and development of microbial bioprocesses. Bioprocesses development requires careful monitoring of process parameters as well as degraded and/or produced molecules. This characterization makes it possible to optimize bioprocesses in order to improve yield and production costs. The characterization related to bioprocesses, proposed by our team, covers the evaluation of living organisms (bacterial growth, enzymatic and metabolic activity, etc.), the physico-chemical properties of the process (pH, temperature, oxygen, nutrients, etc.) as well as the quantification and characterization of biomolecules and co-products of industrial interest.

Team 3: Elaboration and characterization of biomolecules of interest
Presentation :
The design, development and optimization of processes applied to the (bio) synthesis of (bio) molecules of interest at the laboratory scale and at the pilot scale is the main activity of this team; as well as the development of new bioactive supports, for the production of biomolecules with therapeutic use. The members of the team also work on the screening and valorization of bioactive products of synthetic and natural origin.

The biomaterials research team is dedicated to the development of new biomaterials for the biomedical, environmental and agri-food fields. It also focuses on the development of biopolymers for specific agri-food applications namely biodegradable packaging. In addition, the team specializes in the encapsulation of active molecules in order to obtain materials for (para) pharmaceutical or cosmetic use of interest.
