Science Day “Youm Al Elm” 2025: April 16 Celebration

The Biotechnology Research Center celebrated the Science Day “Youm Al Elm” on April 16, 2025. On this occasion, the Center hosted a rich program, beginning with a conference by Professor Sobhi Widad entitled: “They Speak, What Do You Say? Understanding the Language of Cells,” followed up by a conference presented by Dr. Khaldi Taha entitled: “Food Allergies and Hypersensitivity: Better Understanding for Improved Prevention.”

Additionally, Mrs. Rouibi Fatima Zohra was honored on the occasion of her retirement, in recognition of her dedication throughout her professional career.

The Director of the Center, Mr. Ammar Azioune, emphasized the importance of participating in the President of the Republic’s Award for the Innovative Researcher, aimed at researchers and students whose work contributes to scientific, technological, social, and economic development in Algeria.

The event also included tributes to a group of employees.

The celebration concluded with a speech by the Director, Professor Ammar Azioune, after he delivered a conference on “Microchips” for fourth and fifth-year students at the National Higher School of Biotechnology (ENSB). This was followed by a visit of the Center’s various laboratories and technological platforms, as well as a visit for students from the Higher Normal School of Technological Education (ENSET) in Skikda.
